“This is a very comfortable, updated property in a quiet residential neighborhood just 5 minutes from the Eastsound hub. The property is clean and the rooms are spacious. The bathrooms are great (clean, lots of towels, and shampoo, conditioner, soap, and hair dryer provided). The master bath is especially large. The kitchen is well equipped and well it. All the appliances that we used worked well. Hosts quickly responded to our questions/requests at the start of our stay. A great property for a couple, small family, or friends. Pets are welcome as well and hosts provide some pet supplies to make things easier on you. We had planned to bring our dog but our plans changed a couple days prior to arrival. Location is very convenient to the Eastsound retail area (restaurants, shops, groceries) and many trail heads.”

We really appreciated the recommendations for hikes, and the clear instructions to find the house and use the amenities. We talked about how the next time we come back to Orcas, we'd love to stay here again!”

“This was a lovely place within a 5 minute drive of Eastsound. The home is on a big lot with great parking and we loved all the amenities - nice back yard, hot tub, Adirondack chairs. The kitchen had everything we needed. Both beds and bedrooms were perfect. Large primary bathroom with dreamy shower and a very nice secondary full bath. It was great for our dog with thoughtful dog bowl, treats and dog bed! Very quiet which is always a plus.”

“Wifi was in and out our entire trip, meaning my partner and sister were unable to do some remote work, my autistic nephew wasn’t able to watch shows (waking us up at 6am) and we had no music (which is a big part of our lives) on our little vacation. We were only able to stay connected for a few minutes each time, so we had to go to town to get their work done. The owners gave us a 10% refund, which I found inadequate considering how much this inconvenience impacted our trip.

“Great stay! Had everything we need! If you on foot, you might want to use taxi to and from town. If beautiful weather and wish to walk, take the North route where there are better shoulders for walking, even though it takes a bit longer. You will see some beautiful farms and walk through Buck Park and the school grounds. Hot tub is nice, we added a little extra water with hose, cuz it was a little low. Place was really clean and had what we need. The bathtub in picture takes a very long time to fill, so be patient and use 100% hot until you get it almost where you want it. Or better yet, just plan on using the hot tub. You might see the deer out there, like we did. :-)”

“Hot tub was just too inaccessible and very chemically smelling for us to use. We’re older, disabled adults and there are stairs to deal with to get down to the tub. The house was clean, the bathrooms newly remodeled, beds comfortable, great TV, T-Mobile had great reception, and the kitchen was workable. The house is centrally located and very close to amenities in town. Neighborhood can be noisy at night. Yard was great with lots of trees around so there is a feeling of privacy out on the deck.”

“We had a great stay at Todd’s place. It’s spacious and very close to everything we wanted to see and do. Our group were 3 couples and we were able to spread out and be very comfortable. Easy checking in and out. And communication with the hosts was very easy. There’s plenty to do on Orcas Island from hiking, kayaking, whale watching and great eating. One thing I’d really encourage people to be aware of is the need for a ferry reservation WAY ahead of time. Like the day you book the VRBO.”

“This might be my favorite home away from home- and that is saying a lot! It was the perfect space- the amenities and ease of use were amazing. My boys walked to the lake every day- we were a short drive from parks and town. It was a super quiet neighborhood with a great view!
Hot tub was much needed after many hikes. Thank you for the included beach towels for the hot tub too.
The kitchen is one of the best I have seen- baking pans of different sizes, pitcher for juices, many frying pans and pots, waffle Maker, toaster, coffee and tea making supplies, several mixing bowls, measurement tools for cooking, etc.”

“It’s a beautiful property, we wish we could have stayed longer. It was as described, very clean. Great communication with hosts. They even left out dog bowls and treats. It is close to Moran State Park for hiking, boating and the spectacular view from Mt. Constitution. The only small drawback was the front door. I hadn’t planned ahead to get the door code and there is no WiFi connection to look it up without getting into the house. Owner was most accommodating when I called him for the code. I recommend getting the code before you get to the house. We took advantage of the hot tub after our hike and the pool table downstairs. Great for a family including our furry members.”

There is a fairly robust corner store just around the corner which you can walk to, and a beach which is a short drive or longer walk away. Town is about a 5 minute drive. “This house was perfect for our weekend on Orcas Island. Right outside of town, we could have walked to the main drag if we wanted to, but chose to drive as it was so convenient. “I had a wonderful stay with my family for 4 nights. We all felt right at home as soon as we checked in. Everything was comfortable, well stocked, intuitive and easy to use, clean and spacious. The appliances and kitchenware were all in great condition. We did not have time to use the outdoor amenities but I'm sure they would've been great too. The location was also very convenient, since it's in the middle of the island and 5 minutes to the main town and shops. Todd & Lori were also quick to respond. We needed a quiet New Year’s Eve to accommodate our 15 year old dog, and Todd and Lori assured me in advance this would be a quiet, peaceful setting. It was exactly that. Additionally, this pet friendly listing provided everything to make our puppy Echo as comfortable as possible. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our three night stay! In addition to the perfect accommodations, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook each day. They provide a well written notebook on the home and on Orcas Island, so we took advantage of their suggestions for hikes on the Island. We came home each evening to the roomy hot tub to soak our weary muscles. It easily accommodated all 5 adults. We heartily recommend Todd and Lori’s home for your Orcas Island adventure!.”

“We had a lovely little getaway after getting engaged and surprising my fiancée with her parents flying in from the East Coast. The space was a great fit for all four of us, plus our pup. One small drawback was the check-in process, as the key code itself was quite long and the keypad was time-sensitive, which made arrival a bit more challenging than expected. That said, we really enjoyed the hot tub and cozy fireplace, and the location was very convenient. Overall, it felt a bit pricey for the off-season given the value, but it was still a very enjoyable stay.”
